You have no idea who my g/f's dad is so how do you know what I am getting? You have no idea how long he's been painting cars, or if he has a shop. With not knowing any of this to basically tell me that my paint will look shitty is assanine..

Don't assume that because you spent 5k on your paint job that mine will automatically look like **** parked next to yours just because I won't be paying for any of the labor. The man loves cars, and he loves how I treat his daughter so he's going to be nice...

You have a 5k paint job which you wouldn't have I bet if you would have had to pay for the whole thing your self and didn't only pay 1k of it...

I imagine that your pissed at me from the PFS thread but get over it, it's no reason to say my paint jobs going to be **** just because I ain't paying 5k... What'd you get beat by a car with a less expensive paint job or something and now are pissed at those of us who are getting our paint jobs cheaper.

Oh and not to mention I have the equipment in my garage to paint the jambs myself or do any body work if it came down to it, and I have a brother who is a body man that's been doing body/paint work for over 20 years..

If I am a perfectionist and want to do a paint job a la "jimlab," how much would that run me without any special paint shop connections?

haha, really im not too sure, i would guess $4000 and up... probably close to $7000?
(all estimates, i could be way off, it depends on where you go and if you want a complete color change and all kinds of stuff...)
