I've had authentic and I've had ebay ones and I say...get a set off of ebay. I'd rather have them rather than the authentics. The authentics require you to cut your wires or purchase a harness adapter(that cost just as much as a set off of ebay). The ones that you can get off of ebay are just as good and plug right into your stock harness... and they cost a quarter of the price. I have heard of some ppl's lights melting. I have never had a set melt though.

thanks ebay it is. thanks guys for the other comments but if money wasnt an issue then i would get the more expensive ones.

Note: Both sets referenced are "replicas", and not "authentic" OEM. Not saying this is bad or anything, just wanted to clarify. Also, OEM units require a wiring harness at about $25, while the replicas do not. In the case above, the distributor offering the euro-style replicas on ebay would seem to be the way to go; assuming '99 spec OEM is off the table. Hope this helps.
