You should consider talking to Jason @ rx7store, he is real good at organizing things like this and I also think with his advertising efforts you could get at least 50 people to do it. Just my thoughts.

also, it would not be a bad idea to make VIS agree that they wont start mass producing this wing for civic's or other cars!....... like the scoot hood which can be bought for any jap car now!!

I agree that VIS should fork over the money to buy one but if they won't agree to that than Jason over at JT-imports sells used 99Spec wings for $785.95 shipped. I think that should suffice. If we get 20 people each person would pitch in $40 to cover the cost.
I'm just throwing out ideas. VIS is open to doing this GB and I'll be damned if this thing isn't going to happen. We are getting these wings for WELL under OEM price so we need to kick this thing into overdrive.

i like all this 99 spec replicas but i do have to say that if they do make these wings and front bumpers, 99 spec will be played out real fast and become the next cwest. pretty soon we wont be able to put anything on our fds that would be original or something that someone would really appreciate besides the car itself. im still in though for the c/f wing.

This thing is never going to happen. Has anybody even gotten the ok from the mods yet?

AMRAAM4's post was dead on. I'm PMing Jason with all the information. I may consider taking this GB over.
I'm going to call up VIS tomorrow and ask them if they would be open to buying the 99spec wing for the mold and if they refuse again I'm not about to beg them. We need to get this GB going and establishing whose going to buy the wing is essential. I'll also ask them long it will take for a mold to be made once they recieve the wing so that we have a DEFINITE time frame

Anything else I'm leaving out fellas? We need to get this thing rolling. VIS is offering an amazing deal and we need to stop standing around with our thumbs up our asses!

One more question, Can i buy an addition CF for my wing. I mean i will buy a whole wing, and i want to have addition carbonfiber center. Just in case the accident happen, so that i could change it or may be for the different looks.

This needs to move to the GB section and we need to talk to the mods about it. If Jason doesn't want anything to do with it, fine.
Instead of us sitting around for months saying, "VIS said this" and "I want that," we need to get something in writting.
If it takes putting up a non-refundable down payment to buy the donor wing, then that is what we will have to do. It'll separate the men from the boys.
Aspire, maybe you should take over this GB since you seem to have some enthusiasm and want to get this going as much as I do.

2. From there, Aspire buys the used spoiler from JTImports and see if he can expedite getting it.
3. Give donor to VIS to create spoiler.
4. Aspire submits contact info of each person on the list to VIS. From there they will need to figure out the best way to pay/receive shipment from VIS.
Like it or not some people are going to get out of paying for the donor. Also, some people might have to pay more here or there. If you want the wing at half the price just say **** it and pay what I have above, you're still getting a good deal and making it happen. There will always be people tying to skirt the money, and besides, VIS is gonna continue to sell this after the GB so all those buyers won't be paying the donor charge...that's the price to pay for the new option.
Aspire: You're gonna have to keep extremely accurate notes and confidentiality on the info. If you don't get enough GB people ont he list (i.e. $$ for the donor) then you need to refund each person that paid their $40

i am under the impression that 315 shipped is only for the people participating in the initial group buy with the donor wing... after that the wing price will rise for everyone else

Why not just build in the price for the 99 wing into the group buy price..
10 people= $80 more per wing
20 people= $40 more per wing
30 people= $26 more per wing
40 people= $20 more per wing
Not rocket science. I really don't think you would have a problem getting 40 people to do this.
