I searched on the forum and found info on replacing capacitors but nothing on replacing chips but maybe I missed it.
As you can see my Bose door amp (drivers side) fried and wanted to see if anyone has tried to replace the 3 prong chips before. The Q3 chip is fried and would like to see if I could solder a new chip in. Someone had posted on an earlier post a pic on a Bose door amp circuit board and I tried to google the numbers on the chip but nothing comes up. My chip is so fried the part number is no longer legiable.
Hoping someone could help and steer me in the right direction on how I could source a replacement chip and even give me some insight if this can even be repaired.
you might try calling Bose, in the old days they used to repair these things. not sure they still do, but maybe they would sell you the chip
barring that maybe there is another Bose/Mazda that uses something like it, the Rx8 comes to mind
