2002 Gt Wide Kit

I just found a kit that looks so good on a rx7!!! it sells for $3,000. It looks like the ferrari 360 when you put the kit on the rx7...That is a LIMITED supply!! I dont have an rx7 right now but am purchasing one in about 4 months think I should go ahead and buy the kit??

It would be a better idea to purchase mods that would help keep the car running correctly before you worry about aesthetic modifications. But it's your money so do what you feel is best.

buy the reliability mods first. The kit wont do jack for your car if youre waiting on your rebuilt motor

You really need to learn alot more before you waste thousands on an ugly body kit that'll make you a laughing stock.

You're "Limited" bodykit is limited because nobody wants to buy it. There won't be anymore made by Rotary Extreme because it doesn't sell (No surprise there when looking at it... ).
If you havn't caught on yet, this isn't the original kit. Bragging about having a rare replica isn't exactly impressive.

you know that kit isnt that bad when looking at the car right from the front, but when you take a look at the side of the car i hate it! i almost bought it too, i talked to chuck at rotaryextreme and almost did it. but after looking at those pics over and over again i decided not to. i like the concept of the widebody but with that kit cause it gives it like an extra 2inches on each side, when you look at where the front fender and door meet and there is that huge gap right there, and again at the rear of the car where the quarter panel meets the very rear of the car and there is another gap. i just dont like it cause of those gaps, it totally screws up the curves of the car, and makes it look like a mutated rx7. one of the one things i love about my FD is the body of it and the way the car is curved and designed, and after thinking about that when i was about to buy that kit i knew that it would just totally mess that all up. o yea and last time i talked to chuck about it he said that there was 3 left. im not saying dont buy it, but really think about it before you do, and i would also say buy the car before you buy anything for it so you can think real hard about exactly what you want, just an idea

yea well i think that would be a good idea to get the car first, smart move. yea the one thing that almost made me get that kit was because it was rare, and i just wanted something that almost nobody had. but then after thinking, having something rare like that doesnt mean anything if you, yourself dont even like it. if the kit did something about those gaps and made the entire car wide and smooth all the way across i would of bought it, but of course it doesnt.

are you saying you're gonna buy a $3,000 bodykit for a car you don't even own yet? hmmm. Maybe I just misunderstood you, but I can't say I can condone this behavior.

Seriously, if you want one of these cars get it, but not before reading all the newbie threads, searching the problems with the car, and then considering the fact that the FD is a money pit.

Once all this is done, and if you still want an RX7, then get one. But take care of it. Dont spend 3000 on an ugly kit...(i'll add that it is the REPLICA), spend it on the mods to keep the car happy, or what we like to call happy.

Then finally, when the time comes, where you feel you've put enough into the car for reliability, then go ahead and buy any kit you want. By doing so, you shouldn't be flamed by the forum.

But ya never know.

This is atleast what i think you should do. I'm not telling you what to do.

I agree with rotorhead93, look into getting an Fd before spending a crap load of money on looks. Get a FD and do some maintanence and reliable mods first. The bodykits will always be there.

Another note, the gt body kit is a replica kit rotaryextreme makes. if you want a rare kit get the origanal. But look into other mods first.

Yep, until they sell those 5 then have money to make 5 more.

I have a great bridge to sell you, as well as some beach front property in Nevada, for when the big one hits and California falls into the ocean.
