1hr Project: Floor Mat Restoration
So I decided that my RX-7 emblems on my floormats were a bit too dingy, so I decided upon a method to clean them!
Here's the pics, self explanatory:
Just make sure you get white shoe cleaner, not leather polish, remove the lid after shaking, and remove the sponge, get a q-tip, and put as much on the sewing as the threads will absorb, let it dry and damp away excess with the towel
voila!
Now I will attempt this with my bra

No Flames but you ruined them. In a short time that stuff will hold all the dirt and flake off making them look teribble.
Next time actually try CLEANING them. Go to the car wash and blasting them out with high pressure water and then VACUUM them. You can also do this at home with the hose. The vacuuming the water out is the part that really cleans them up. I use Castrol Super Clean diluted about 1 part Super clean to 3-4 parts water.
If you guys really want to clean your interior, don't screw around with any of that stuff in a can (carpet cleaner), rent a carpet cleaner (I like U-haul brand) for $20, remove the seats, use Super clean diluted about 20:1 in the hot water tank. The carpet will be really clean, if you have cloth seats, clean those too. If you do this in the summer time and the car is in the sun the carpet will be dry in a couple hours.
