Sema Software Release?
Does anyone know anything about the software release for the Haltech's thats supposed to be occuring at Sema? I don't see a download for it. Anyone know what changes they are making (rev Vs. new software)?

Did the person that told you about this specify SEMA 2008? One of the guys at the office told me last summer the K-Series Platinum would be out at SEMA. I'm left to assume SEMA 2009...maybe...

I'm sure you could arrange a cheap flight out to Las Vegas!
I'm not going to even mention what I was told about the EVO X and R35! It had something to do with 'don't hold your breath'.

Why do you know of any other Haltech forums?
Well I'm still trying to get my E8 to actually datalog AFR and would like my feedback to work. I'm just hoping to get a new software release to fix this. Without support from Australia other than Scott saying we don't have that issue. I have sent them screenshots, datalogs, and files without help. Exept that he did say new software was to be released at SEMA. I should have some information on it this afternoon when my business associates over at SEMA check it out. But I need a fix so I can actually finish some tuning.. Not to mention I would like to test some beta datalogging software for Haltech csv files.

I have not had trouble with the E8 or E11 showing AFR values v. Lambda. The quick tune problem with the E8 does need to be addressed but how are either of those issues keeping you from tuning anything?
FWIW, I've always had the best luck getting good answers out of Matt. Might want to drop him an email. Since they're all at SEMA though you can probably forget getting a response this week. If I understood correctly Matt will be at the training seminar at the US office next week. Would be a great time to get some answers.

I still haven't gotten AFR or Lambda or MV to display in my logs yet I could care less about it in the tuner page. I do not like relying on an AFR gauge alone to tune at least to fine tune or in boost. I have always used logs. The feedback is just another issue that needs addressed.
I just talked to my bud at Sema he said Haltech was showing off a new software (wasn't sure if it was Platinum only or not), Also they have the Platinum 1000 and 3000 there for what I believe is the replacement of the E8 and E11V2.

Hey guys, some images of the Haltech Booth at the SEMA Show. Just a little tease for now. Ill have my gallery uploaded with more pics of the rest of the show by the end of the week.
Introducing the Platinum Sports 1000
And, Platinum Sports 2000
These units will be the E8 and E11v2 replacements in 2009. They will be exactly the same as far as inputs and outputs go, but will you use a Platinum software based platform, they will be USB, the pinout will be identical to the current E8 and E11v2 so you wont have to buy new harnesses, just the boxes.
Also, for 2009, we will have the new Platinum Pro box which is mainly being developed for the Skyline GT-R R35 and will eventually become a full replacement ECU later next year.
Some more pics of the booth and the Injected Performance R35.
