Problems with tuning yesterday
Well I finally got my car on the dyno yesterday. Rebuilt S5 turbo II, all new internals, bigger injectors, turbo etc. Engine was broken in never crossing 4000 rpm. My mechanic had Steve Kan over for a tuning session and it was my time to put down some numbers. He spent some time cleaning up the base tune, set the boost on the Profec B and went for the first pull. This is where the problem occurred. The engine made 277 until it started to break up @ around 6000 rpm. No matter what he tried it could not pass 6000 rpm with out breaking up.
My mechanic and Steve narrowed it down to an electrical problem, either with the E6K or with the harness. What do you guys think, any suggestions before I ship the ECU back to Haltech?
thanks

It's definitely related to CAS, ignition, Haltech. We swapped the CAS and still doing the same (it sounded timing was retarded). Leaning towards the haltech. Also, find out why your old engine blew, your boost controller was set to 70%. The very first pull, it spike up to 22psi and I let off. looked at the boost controller settings and peak hold. It spiked to 2.2kg/cm2 (~32psi) at one point.

Hey Steve, the controller was bought from a guy who used it for two months. It had all his previous settings on it. I am going by sean today to swap ECU's and check the CAS wiring. I will keep you posted. As far as the other engine, it was a few years old, an oil seal went so did an apex seal (it had a chip missing out of it)
