Haltech No spark!

No spark!
Can anybody give me some places to check? I have made connection with haltech and loaded a map, I hooked up a timing light to both coils and neither spark, and the timing light is good. ANy ideas where to start looking?

with the laptop connected to the Haltech and in the engine ouput section of the software monitor the rpm while cranking. if it is below 600rpm then the ECU is not picking up the signal from the CAS. look for bad connections(plug sometimes comes apart) and make sure all other connections are solid. I have had problems with different CAS's, some give a stronger signal or the Haltech reads some better than others. you can also adjust the gain on the reluctors in the ignition setup page. If the ECU is reading somewhere near 600rpm then look at the wiring and condition of the coils and ignitors.

Also, make sure your battery/starter is spinning the engine fast enough to trigger the CAS. I've heard of numberous cases where lazy batteries and starters have been the root cause of inexplicable no-fire issues.
Here's a link that describes how to make a crank sensor emulator using your laptop computer. You might find it helpful to fool the ECU into thinking the engine is cranking at your desired speed while you check for coil output.

Thanks and credit goes to Ray Hall and Autronic.com for sharing that program!
Just be sure and disable the fuel pump and injectors when you do this, or you'll have one hell of a flooded engine!
