Not sure, but I think so among other things. The ECU was pretty well toasted according to the gentleman at Haltech USA.

Do you mean the rectifier? Zener Diode? I don't expect you to know this. ;0

why are you running 1.7bar(25psi) when the car was only tuned to 1.4bar (20psi)?? I don't think the ECU is self tuned last I remembered. so exactly what boost were you running when you made 505rwhp? I swear that you claimed it was only 20psi so running at 25psi will definately blow it up.

Turns out I did not make the race after re-wiring the whole car with BDC, car fired up and ran well, but an invisible crack in the iron ended our day. I actually blew it up on the track last year, but the crack was so small that you had to get the engine up to ~180 before it leaked. @100 psi @ 150* it did not leak... Oh well, time for a fresh port, big brakes, lighten the car, Aquamist, etc. We have the aquamist pretty much done, and wired to the haltech, so it should be P&P when I get the motor back from BDC. Later, Carl

24psi yielded the 506 figure. 20psi was about 440ish from what I remember.

that's weird, I see different numbers with different boost level coming from him. First he said it was 25psi, and then it was 23psi where he posted in here.

https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...3&page=1&pp=15

He also mentioned it was 450rwhp@18psi when you said it was 440rwhp@20psi.

I just don't understand why the conflict on hp numbers and boost level?? if it was only 22psi, it shouldn't break, but 25psi is a little too much in my opinion.

"from what I remember"...

25psi is not too much for that block, Steve.

that is why it is called "your" personal car. lots of people around the world running even more during all types of racing. It likely wont last forever but it will be a fast fun ride while it lasts. if the engine is tuned well it will work fine.

No, I'm not kidding Steve, and if you don't like it, tough. Do what you'd like on your own car and mind your own business concerning what I do either with mine or my customers'.

You're right.. I guess if I only wanted to enjoy it 10 secs at a time. I would run more boost just for the heck of it. But again, I only run pump gas for road racing and that is more than plenty for what I do/handle.

Did you find out what the issue was with the ECU? I sent my E6K to AUS for no rpm and spark

His ECU was bad. I loaned him one of mine to check the wiring. Looks like the battery charger killed it.
