I guess if anything, I like to see the logo on top rather than having it buried underneath.

I agree with RETed on this. I have been installing stereo systems for some 10 years now.
Heat rises. Keep heat sinks to the top whenever possible. This comes down to common sense.
Things are designed the way they are for a reason.

People, HEAT DOES NOT RISE!
Take a rod of aluminum, get it hot on one end. Hold it so the hot end is up and the cool end is down. What happens? Does the temperature of the cool end go up? Yes. Did heat rise? No. Heat moves from hot to cold, there's no orientation involved.
