How well does a Haltech control boost?

Just curious about how well the Haltech boost controller works. What should I expect for boost spikes? I'm debating whether or not to install my Profec B. I figure if the Haltech will take care of it all, I won't have to worry about it.

the Haltech does not have a boost controller it has the ability to operate a coil for a solenoid. you can then build a map to operate the solenoid to maintain a desired boost level. I never needed to use this function as I have an aftermarket waste gate set at the desired boost level.
