Haltech Haltech TPS sensor issues.

Haltech TPS sensor issues.
I have my second Haltech TPS sensor in the S5 RX-7. I had issues with the original S5 TPS.
on My 1st Haltech TPS it had dead spots all over the range of the TPS.
I have been watching the trace of the TPS.
I have it set correctly with 0 and full.
When under 20% throttle, there is a spot on the TPS that drops straight down and back up to the position of throttle. This is while holding the throttle still.
This mainly happens when it is warmed up after running the engine a little it .
Even after the engine if off when it shows the issue once it appears. Even If i leave it off for 2 min and then test again without running the engine. I have the same result.
there is no TPS play on the throttle plates.
Anybody have issues with the Haltech TPS's?

Been hearing of more TPS issues of late. Surprising as it is (to me at least) Haltech has a 1 yr warranty on the TPS. They might be the only people providing a warranty on electrical parts! If you know you haven't wired it incorrectly contact the US office for warranty service.
All that said, IMO, ditch the Haltech TPS and use the stocker. Especially since you have an S5 already it's a no brainer.

tps screen shots.
The red lines are my addition and are relative to my throttle input.
look @ how it spikes?
This is my second band new TPS.
I bench tested it before it went on to the throttle body adn then also on the throttle body and also while in the car.
It worked great for 2 weeks adn then now it broken just like the 1st?
Could it be wearing out?
could a voltage spike do this?
I have not jumped started or messed around the battery in the car.

When you install it make sure it isn't getting tight or binding. I've had a couple of customers that just cranked up the mounting washers then force the throttle till it frees up.
I spaced out the TPS a touch and worked fine. Granted this wasn't an RX7 but something to watch for.

FYI this got solved with the JDL TPS bracket for FC S4/S5 turbo throttle body. Note that the S5 & S4 have different TB's and the lengths vary
