haltech question
hi
my friend is having problem with the rx7 and i notice he have a haltech but the problem is that i dont have the program on my laptop to read the ecu. is there any intalation program availible to download that i can download? i went to haltech website and it seems to be down. thanks

Eddie, I recommend downloading and using the HalwinX 1.26. It's much faster and gobs less finicky than the E6X DOS software. Plus, there's no DOSBox setup drama to have to go through to install and run it on an XP+ machine. One caveat: when using HalwinX, make sure both Trigger Edge and Home Edge under Trigger setup are set to FALLING as sometimes HalwinX will take a map and change one of them to RISING therefore lousing the engine RPM reading up.

cool thanks. i know this sound stupid to ask, im been working with microtecchs and PFC for 7 years now and i road tune them all the time. is haltech is anything similar to them? what should i look for when tune? any tips you might give me? i do have knock sensors and wideband that i use to tune so im all set with that. thanks for the help
