Haltech Haltech Group Buy!

I hope everything works out and that everyone involved understands how much work it is to organise these things(I know Badass knows). I am sorry nobody wants to work with you guys but be careful. Did you try any of the companies in Australia or just the US reps?

I contacted those two before this is what they had to say to me:
Ari told me if I haven't installed it before we are not selling it to you. Ari prolly didn't want to deal with tech support. Jim the owner from mechtech told me the haltech ecu is 1200 not 950 and then started telling me that wherever I got my information it was wrong. I'm sure they are nice guys, but I don't think I deserved attitude just because I wanted to put a haltech in my rx7 I must of caught them on their bad days.

I have bought two E6K units from two different companies and both cut me a deal from there advertised price. First one was from Rotary Performance and the second one was from MechTech Motorsports in Escondido, Ca. I believe both are authorised dealers not sure if both are on the Haltech list. Ari has helped us out with our first unit and gave us a great deal at the time(right when E6K was first introduced so was a little higher than can be had at this time.) and Jim from MechTech sold me the last one for the price I posted. About a month ago someone(who has been caught thank god) broke into my house and one of the things the stole was my E6K ECU and the cops have not been able to find it. So I emailed Jim at Mechtech to ask for the cost of a new ECU only and he quoted me $950 for ECU alone(map sensor is about $25-$30). Now Jim is a guy who only works on race cars and off road vehicles so sometimes he can be short with street car applications(doesn't usually work on street cars), but I would just not tell him the application and tell him what you want and if you gave him ten customers what the good guy price would be for what you want. My suggestion was just to find the company who wanted ten customers handed to them and was willing to take a little less on each unit to get the ten. don't make them keep a list just an agreement that once the ten are paid for this is the price. Ten person conference call or something. I just hate to see people upset at one another over a deal that saves you a couple hundred bucks(I know a couple hundred is alot of money but is worth having everybody not trust you?) Like I said before Jim is a great guy and knows alot about Haltech's and EFI in general, but is so busy he is not going to organise the deal. just tell him you got 10 customer that want your same setup and what is the price, no need to volunteer any more info. here is a link to his website http://www.mechtech-ms.com/

e6k group buy
Looks like you guys have checked out all the sources pretty well. The e mail from FL sums it up well. It is the tech support that is so costly to the dealer. I get calls all the time from people who buy from someone else and when it doesn't work right they call me for a fix. Haltech is not real happy about the dealers with min. or no tech support sell units cheap because of this. If you don't go for the juglar the good dealers w/ support can help you out! Rob

well for my case i feel confident in wiring it my self, and theres plenty of people running haltec on the forum to help if i get into something i dont get...the question is can you help us out with the price rob? you were one of the places we were hoping to be able to go with..so can you? if so whats the breakdown..price, ordering, shiping...all the details if you can

in my opinion we dont really need any tech support from whomever sells it to us because there is so much haltech support on and off of this forum it aint funny. there is also a yahoo haltech suppor group that is very helpful.

1FastT2....of course you can still get in. I will add your email to my contact list.
The retail at Rotary Performance is $1145 for the ECU and $112 for the 3-bar MAP.
This deal brings the price down to $1000 for ECU and MAP sensor, a $257 savings.
Well guys, I've got over 85% of you saying you want to go with Culver. So, with that said, lets get the ball rolling.
You can pay my PayPal account bradlymjensen@hotmail.com
The price is $1000, or $1030 if you are paying by credit card. I know I said before that Culver would absorb the 3% paypal surcharge, but I misundrerstood his email. I apologize.
I will also take your personal checks, money orders, or cashires check. You can mail them to
Brad Jensen
10610 SE 325th St
Auburn, WA 98092
The faster I get your payment, the faster you'll get your ECU.
Also, for added security, Culver agreed that we will pay a 50% deposit, and once I receive the ECU's, he will get the other 50%.
This makes it more secure.
Any questions please call or email me. Thanks.
