Haltech Haltech to GM IAC motor pin info?

Haltech to GM IAC motor pin info?

Hey all -

I'm trying to cross reference some info from another ECU hookup instructions to get my stock IAC to work with the Haltech. Unfortunately in the Haltech manual (which I have found to be lacking in many ways) they do not describe if you hook it up logically, like so :

Haltech IDL1 --> GM IAC A
Haltech IDL2 --> GM IAC B
Haltech IDL3 --> GM IAC C
Haltech IDL4 --> GM IAC D

Or if you have to hook it up crossing wires like the other ECU does (Electromotive TEC-II) :

TECII A --> GM IAC B
TECII B --> GM IAC A
TECII C --> GM IAC C
TECII D --> GM IAC D

If someone could just tell me what pins IDL1-4 normally hook up to on a GM IAC, I can figure it out from there. Thanks.

Just FYI, the main reason that I'm going through this is that the TEC-II users found a way to make our unipolar stepper motor IAC's run as bipolar stepper motor IAC's. They ground what is normally power and basically run them backwards. Don't ask (I don't), it just works. *shrug*

Not specific enough? I can see what else I can dig up about the other install that may clarify, if it'll help.

The one thing I did notice is that I've had it hooked up several ways... the first time was wrong, and the Haltech even turned it off for me automatically since it was so wrong. The second time it was hooked up, it worked intermittently, and when it did work, it just bounced the rev's all over the place. This third way I tried this evening was the same as another car or the same year/model as my own, and it doesn't work at all - though it doesn't disable the IAC in the software like the first way I had it hooked up did.

Definitely, very confused. :-/
