Fuel pump wiring and relay HOT!
I have been having problems with my Haltech and recently noticed that the wiring going into the fuel pump relay and the fuse box wiring was getting hot. I have checked the wiring for a short but can't seem to find any. Could I still have a short and have the pump work? Should I just redo the wiring to the pump just in case? Could it be the pump? Could I have fried the relay and could that have contributed to the demise of the Haltech? (currently NOT getting any response from Haltech) What else could be the problem besides the wiring. I had checked the voltage to the pump and was getting 11.6v. Pump would prime fine and hold pressure before everything stopped working. If it is a bad relay, where do I source a new one?
Many questions I know, many answers needed.

wire being hot and relay being hot sounds like excessive amperage. what amperage is going through the wire? also make sure all connections are tight(soldered is better). also you should try to get as direct from the battery connection for the fuel pump. if no shorts or grounds are found you can upsize the wire to help with the heat. relay is a simple bosch fog light relay. found at any electronics or auto parts store.
