Coilpack questions

Anyone know if these will work like an LS1 coilpack for an E8k?

part #12558693. these are off a 2003 Suburban with a 5.3 liter...

Yes they will. None of the LSx coils are ideal with the wastespark ECUs though. These coils like 5+ms dwell in order to produce a decent spark. When used in wastespark, you'll only have 3.5ms available at high revs. So, you're leaving a lot of spark potential on the table at all operating conditions. These applications are where the Mercury IGN-1A coils really shine. They'll produce more spark energy from the limited amount of dwell time than any of the LSx coils are able to produce.
