Auto tune on E11V2 with a PLX R500
Has anybody used the a PLX device R500 with the E11V2? How did you guys hook it up? What settings did you guys use? I haven't been able to get a signal from my wideband to the haltech and I'm not sure what the parameters are.
One more thing, I noticed when I was with no load that the exhaust manifold and turbo where glowing red. That's usually a sign of running lean. I only saw the A/F go up to 13.5. That shouldn't be high to run lean is it? Anything else I should check? How do you know that all injectors are firing? How do you know that the OMP is working and wired correctly? I want to make sure that those are working and injecting oil.

Appreciate the help.

actually i believe the glowing manifold/turbine is a sign of running very rich and/or too retarded timing.
13.5:1 should be fine for idle and low load, so i'd check out the timing.

Connect the configurable analog output of the PLX to one of the A/D inputs of the Haltech. Let's say spare A/D 1 since it's selectable in the closed loop menu. Configure the PLX output to 0V = 10:1 and 5V = 20:1. Set the spare A/D in the Haltech as wideband o2 input (spare A/D 1 defaults to wideband o2 input). Next double check that the Haltech software has the proper calibration for the sensor. Go to the Setup drop down menu then to sensor setup>calibrate sensors>wideband o2 sensor. Make sure it's setup with the same parameters that you have in the PLX.
It's late so that may or may not make sense.

PLX device setup.
Thanks guys for the information. I haven't checked the timing. I've never messed with that. That makes sense. I'll have to check that next.
Keep those suggestions coming.
