hey guys sorry for the lack of updates. my hail storm life continues. our second son was born 7 weeks early (bout half as early as our first, only a year ago). so aigain my free time is spent at the hospital, or watch our first at home so my wife can go.
that said, once we are out, i will finish the shrouds and roll production. i have had some fitment issues, and i just came up with a solution that is so simple i cant believe it didnt come to me earlier.

Any consideration of handing this project off to someone that can complete it?
I can't imagine you'll have much free time with TWO kids when you couldn't find the time with one (or even before that, with none). I mean, this project (not this thread) is how many years old?

I swear I'm not trying to be impatient or unappreciative... but this project has been going on since - 2009? 2010? This specific thread was started after years on another thread of "just one more thing" or "need to test fit" or "I just figured out what I need".
Why not hand this off to Shine or someone more capable? I can't even imagine what it would take for actual production let alone filling orders of 10-20-30 (normal GB numbers).
Frankly, this thread has just been ignored - before this recent post, the last post was in March - and justifiably so, family first. But back to my original point, I can't imagine MORE free time will magically appear now that there are two kids that need attention.
...I'm not sure if superdan even owns an RX-7 for test fitting/development - which *really* doesn't help matters.

Dan can correct me if I am wrong on the following:
A major holdup on this project over the past several months has been the fitment of the shrouds. Dan started with my "one offs" and sent them to Shine to then replicate and he hasn't been pleased with the results to date. Not saying this is a Shine issue, but there is way too much variability in the end product. You guys wouldn't be pleased and Dan doesn't want to sell a less than quality kit. Again, this is more of a factor of starting with my shrouds and trying to replicate them. Shine does quality work and I have some of their parts on my car.
Dan did have a major breakthrough with the shrouds a few weeks back so I would fully expect him to be able to come through on this. He's got everything else figured out and ready to go, just needs an acceptable set of shrouds to include with the kit.
For what it is worth, Dan is using all Hella OEM quality lighting parts on the kit so the wait will be worth it. If you can't wait you can always try to put a set together yourself, check my build thread for plenty of pics of what I (Kilo Racing) did.

Where can I find the little flaps on this hood? My fender liners are gone and if i drive on wet roads with the pop ups my headlight covers get filthy. Looks like something like this would solve that problem.
I love the kit and really need better headlights. I just hope yours are available soon or else I may jump on the Sakebomb garage group buy. I like the look of your design better and would wait if these are guaranteed to go into production eventually though.
