new sleek kit

i have been running into a few speed bumps, and i would like some input. I dont think it will be an issue with 99% of people but want to confirm my suspicions.
my first point is that i will not be changing any of the design and/or the lighting being used. what will be changed is the "fine print."
while the hella projectors are dot/sae legal and approved, i fear that placing the lens on top will negate the legality. and while the buyer can choose to run with out the lens it looks strange and i suspect most people wouldnt want to go that route.
in addition to that, the option to personalize your setup by choosing the color Daytime Running Light could also negate the legality. this due to the fact that DRLs must be either white or amber, and if the user chose to use a different color or a strobe option it would not be legal.
so my question is this, while no physical aspect of the will change from what has been discussed in thread, i will have to sell them as "for off-road use only," would this deter anyone from buying?

workin on the piece that supports the lens and shroud it will be a pretty sturdy setup.
i do have another question, in the Re-A and Evo-R kit it is necessary to drill 2-3 holes on both the passenger and drive side (4-6 total). I have looked at several options for mounting the kit, and am a fan of how these kits mount to the frame. the way i want it to mount will require the user to drill 2-3 (more likely 2) holes per side, would this be an issue for anyone?

This will be the only modification to the car.

drilling two holes is fine with me, however it would be my recommendation to leave the headlight mounts undrilled just with marks for a recommendation of where to drill so if someone's car is slightly different, they can drill their own holes.

I do like that idea. thank you, i appreciate as much relevant input as i can get.
also on a side note, i am leaning toward fiberglass as opposed to a plastic. for two reasons, the first being paining purposes. the second because the shape is fairly intricate shape and i dont think that the thermoforming will be able to recreate it.

i think i have found what i will use as the drl/aux/running light (what ever you want it to be).
the only thing im not a fan of is that it uses a 880/893 bulb. which is great in the aspect of replacement and ease of installing the kit as well. however it leaves me with 4 color choices, regular halogen (any halogen colors), and led colors white, blue, and amber. now you can still strobe the leds if wanted. but the downside is that it doesnt quite offer the color range i initially wanted.
is this something that would deter anyone?

i am currently going over my design, and am looking for a bit of input. i am considering how i want to space the projectors, i am between equal spacing from the center of each light, or equal spacing between the outside edges of each projector. in the first scenario, the further toward the outside of the light the greater the space between the lights. in the second the space will be the same.
i personally am leaning toward the space between the edges being the same, but i want more input.
FYI in the pics of my models the space between the edges is the same.
