They will all be shipping around the same time. We assemble them in stages, not one at a time.

Thanks for updating the list! Payment received.

I have a question, who sets the projection height and balances the beams to be side by side ? Do the lense housings have adjustment screws? What is included in this

We have a full pictorial step by step installation guide and aiming guide that we include with the lights. The aiming of the projectors are aligned by us, however you WILL have to aim them (the aiming screws are on your car... simply remove the old stock headlights and replace with these, then aim). The aiming of HID's is somewhat different than halogen so we have a full aiming tutorial and how to

You'll get 5 lanes wide of visibility and a helluva long throw with the highbeams on. I'll attest (not that I condone driving over the speed limit) but they've been tested to 150+, on our, um, test track. Even more so than high speed runs, they really shine (pun intended) on nighttime backroads... I couldn't live without them, and neither could the local deer.

I would rate headlights as possibly even more important than brakes (well at least up there with brakes) because it doesn't matter how fast your car stops, you've got to first see and then react to the road hazard, which needs to happen before your foot even touches the brake pedal. Seeing is step 1 braking is step 2 .

SBG recently acquired a Lotus Elise, and even with a drop in HID kit in the halogen projectors, the lighting is atrocious... Dan and I are in the process of developing a kit for that car now too using the same components as our FD lights, as they would be a huge aid at night with the lotus. Once you install this kit you'll quickly start to realize the severe deficiencies that you've been living with in the FD, not to mention other cars you happen to drive. There are other choices from other companies such as quad style lights, but I can assure you that from a performance perspective our FD lights have still yet to be topped, and I'm confident stating that our lights are THE gold standard for FD lighting. We've sold around 200 sets to date with literally only 100% positive feedback from owners.

The problem with some of the other setups (sleepy eye etc) is the requirement for halogen high beams, they simply do not light the road as effectively as HID's. HID lamps take time to start up, so high beam lighting in our units is done with a solenoid and a physical flapper (there is no secondary filament/bulb for high beams). This is how nearly all high-end OEM HID's operate. The modules also run much hotter as they are sealed capsules typically unlike our vented units, and an issue with the severely increased temperatures is bulb life. You've also got to ask what style bulbs are being used and what brand... the devil is in the details. Make sure to ask about bulb type, bulb brand, projector type, high beam type, etc when shopping around...

Ok that's the end of my rant I've definitely gone off topic (once again)

Yes, PM's sent. Sometimes these GB's take a while to materialize and many members don't know it's running since it's in such a small corner of the forum.

Yes sir...See info below

Payment info for anyone who missed it. I'm going to have the mods clean up this thread hopefully and change the title to Official GB thread.

$875 (shipping and tax included) for 35w
$895 (shipping and tax included) for 50w

These lights will not be shipping in the next two weeks. Custom components need to be ordered in advance, and we're only ordering enough to fill the quantity of kits desired for this particular group buy. In the past we have taken 1/2 deposits however we have had issues with large numbers of customers dragging their feet for the second half of the deposit, well past the GB end. We now require payment in full for all group buy orders, however for extenuating circumstances please shoot us a PM and we'll see if we can accommodate you. If we bring back the deposits, we may implement some sort of surcharge for payments arriving past the deadline - to ensure final payments come in on time... we haven't decided how to best handle deposits.

Currently we have no stock of headlight housings or electronic components, and all parts are custom manufactured to our specification. There is a lead time of 4-6 weeks for components, and assembly (however we can begin assembly before the electronic components arrive so there should not be too much overlap). Please remember these lights are hand crafted and are not off the shelf parts... many modifications and processes are used to complete each kit with many many hours of labor in each set.

I got one of the early versions and aside from the ballast with the goofy step-up transformer halfway between the ballast and bulb, they are freaking awesome. Every once and a while one won't kick on but just flick it off and back on again and it's working. Again, an issue with the ballast they no longer use.

I can promise, you WILL love the headlights. The high beams are amazing on back roads.
