[GarageAlpha] Spirit-R / RZ Full Tilt Brackets...
Hey guys!
We've been sitting on this one for a little bit (for a number of reasons) but we're proud to show off a bit of a teaser and get your gears turning.
Every FD3S owner knows the pinnacle of FD3S seating are the RZ / Spirit-R seats.
The problem with these however is two-fold... One, they are expensive and two, even if you are ready to pony up the cash - finding a set with the OEM Tilt / Slider Brackets is next to impossible (and did we mention expensive?).
So we set out to solve at least one of these issues and reverse engineered a set of OEM tilt brackets / sliders into what you see today. Total time to make these was well over a year and went through countless iterations, but the final product, I have to say is impressive. Every component is made here in the US and functions just like OEM, if not better.
So the path we took was making a tilt bracket that works in conjunction with the OEM Rails. Since the issue isn't finding OEM sliders, but rather the tilt function.
As for fitment in the car, we are basically on par positioning wise with the OEM tilt / slider rails. The first picture (above) is actually one OEM tilt/slider and ours side by side - but you couldn't tell the difference based on positioning, function, etc.
To answer the other question you're about to ask, these currently only work with OEM RZ / Spirit-R seats, but adapting them to fit other seats isn't out of the question. The current challenge we have is that other Recaros (specifically the SPG) sits a bit high once installed, maybe some people can live with that, maybe it's a deal breaker, I guess you'll tell us.
...and of course, here's a quick video of a set installed and doing what it does best... TILTS!
So long story, uh, long... THIS thread is to try and figure out who is interested in a set of tilt adapters specifically for RZ / Spirit-R Seats.
We have a batch in production and they will be around $1100 per set of two. Realistically, they can start shipping in the next 30-45 days.
We know they're not cheap, but depending on interest, we might be able to drive the price down a tad.
So, who's in?

Would these require any certification to make them track worthy or legal? Like, would they pass tech at an event? I know sometimes, like helmets, there are ratings associated with things like these.
Overall, very awesome niche product. Another well done idea by garage alpha.

We are LIVE!
Mazda RX-7 [FD3S] Seat Base Tilt Brackets
After months of bending, welding, sourcing and testing - we finally have Seat Base Tilt Brackets on the shelf and ready to ship!
These bases are a no-shortcut solution for people looking to replicate the slide / tilt function that came from the factory in the Spirit-R and RZ model FD3S.
Cold Rolled steel, TIG welded, graded hardware, OEM coating - NO expense was spared making these just as good (if not better) than the OEM brackets.
Finding seats without brackets is no longer a deal killer! These Seat Base Tilt Brackets attached to your factory sliders and provide four point of adjustment and maintain OEM slider adjustment.
