will gslse shortblock go into fc and accept fc intake manifold?
Guys, i've got a rusted out gsl-se that runs killer i bought for $200, and I've got a gxl w/ an external coolant leak in b/w cases. Will the 13b 6port out of the gslse drop into the fc and use stock motor mounts? Also, will it use the fc intake? I was wondering if anyone had ever tried this. I'm not above carbing this motor to get it into the fc cause this is a drift project, but I'd like EFI if possible.

It *might* fit. Allegedly some GSL-SEs had the bosses drilled and tapped in the center housing for the motor mounts, and others had the bosses but not drilled/tapped.
You could use the fc intake, it would need some finessing though. Here's a link to a site with pics of the differences between the two: http://max7.rx-7.org/mods/mod-intake.htm

I was just going by what David Lane was spouting off about on the mailing list a whiles back... said he was looking inside his GSL-SE engine and was asking his engine builder what those weird bosses under the oil pan were for.
Some might have 'em, some might not. What did 13B 6-port pre-86 Cosmos/Luces have for engine mounting, center mounts or front cover mounts?
