turboing a 90 gtu

hey whats up im new to rotories and i just bought a 1990 gtu, clean as hell, the guy gave me with the car a set of rims, turbo II rotor housings, and the t3 turbo. i was wondering could i turbo the gtu with no problems, my friends uncle said that i could do it but max at like 9 pounds of boost with out problems, but what is all that is need to turbo it with the stuff i have, and would it be safe? i will popst pics of the car when i get a camera today.

9psi is waaaay too much without the proper fuel modifications. You would, at minium , require a turbo 2 fuel pump ( or a wally 255..which is cheaper) 550cc injectors, and some way to control that fuel on an NA computer ( read -> SAFC or standalone). An intercooler wouldn't hurt either. also, its not just a "slap it on" sort of job. Lots of fabrication is required, and lots of headaches get generated turboing NA cars. Having said that, If you have time and money, DO IT! damn near 0 lag is freakin sweet. . If you decide to go on with the project, PM me if you need advice/ help.

i c kool yeah i have time , but money i would have to do it one step at a time but i have a shop who sponsors me who can help me out on parts for cheap and custom fabricating stuff, but ill deffinatly let ya know whats up. thanks for the advice.
