Squeaking From Pulley

After my car warms up, and it's sitting at idle, one of my pulleys is constantly making a squeaking noise. I think it is the power steering pulley. It is the top one on the right, sitting on top of my bov. (GO TO MY V-GARAGE TO SEE THE PICTURE.) I don't know why it's making that noise. Does anybody know? Or is it time to get a new one? If I rev my car up to 1,500 rpm or higher, then I don't hear the squeaking noise no more; but if it falls back to idle, then the noise starts up again. Is this a serious problem or not? My power steering liquid/fluid is a little bit below the minimum line, do you think if I fill it up will it stop the noise? I am a new FD owner and don't know very much about the car. Thanks.

My idle pulley was makign an annoying noise until i reach higher rpms liek 2k. anyways u can try a few things, one.....buy some liquid coating for the belt, it lubricates the belt and says that it stops squeaking. That may or may not work. If not make sure your belt is placed right and tighten right. And last resort which was my case..get a new one. Mine was bad so had to replace but maybe yours might be some simple thing.

Do anybody know how much a new pulley cost? The one I need. Oh and the cost of labor too.

Make sure ur belt is tightend enough, if thats not it then u probably need a new pully, call ray at malloy mazda about getting one, and installation shouldnt be too bad.

Does the power steering have anything to do with pulleys?

I filled up my power steering liquid and it sort of stop the noise. My belts is tightend, but I think I might need a new pulley. Now it only squeak a little, I think I need to dirve it around, the noise might go away on it's own. Man RX7 parts cost alot $$ 500 just for like four pulleys and they say "Thats a set" , yeah but thanks for the help......

get a bar of soap and put it on the outside of the belt while its running. if that dont work try some belt dressing.

It could be that your belt isn't tensioned properly. I've had this happen before where it would make a really annoying high pitched sound once the belt heated up (because it wasn't touching fully, but rather rubbing). I'd check that first before buying anything.
