rotor opinion

I'm in the same boat as you, similar "chip". Some may say no, I don't see what's really the problem. I know in a pineapple racing video, the guy used a griding stone to gently go over the outside, and a file inside the groove. Granted he wasn't repairing a rotor like that, just cleaning. But I would like more opinions myself

Take a used Apex seal and run it through the slot to see if it's mis-shapen it at all which would affect the the seal travel up and down. Should check the clearances as well with a seal in it.
If it doesn't catch the I would think it should be OK.
I'm just puting my NA motor back in my car right now after doing a full rebuild due to it spitting a seal in the front rotor - mine went right across the groove so that rotor is garbage now as is the housing.
2 used rotors (matched from another engine), an Atkins rebuild kit, 2 new rotor bearings, 2 brand new rotor housings, and I'm out a lot of money. ;o)
Should have it going again in a couple of days.
