Rebuilt, still smoking + low coolant light now
Bought my car with 85k kms on it. When I received it, noticed it was a little smokey (oil/fuel). Did a compression test on it and had 3 equal bounces at 80psi (didn't hold throttle open either, which I realized I was supposed to after the rebuild process already started). Anyways, rebuilt the motor and used an OEM gasket kit. Also bought OEM oil control o-rings, oil control ring springs, and Atkins cryo apex seals. Didn't mess with the side or corner seals (other than the inserts) because they were within FSM specs. Filled up coolant and oil after everything was back installed in the car. Started right up and coolant low light and warning tone were on steady. Shut the car off, checked the levels and everything is full. I don't see any leaks. Car still smokes excessively and now the coolant low light/warning tone are on.
A little info on the car...
It has a single Greddy TD06-20G turbo (which I'm starting to think my need rebuilt)
Knightsports ECU
Could really use some ideas of things to do or check. Will do another compression test tomorrow to check the PSI now (and with the throttle wide open this time).

air isn't out of the cooling system.
It takes a couple minutes to get the air out.Let it heat up with the cap off ,and if you can get the thermostat to pop then good.the coolant would be hot and circulating and getting any air out that was stuck in there.
Oh,did you hook up the low level coolant sensor on the radiator?one wire thingie?.That would make the warning buzzer/indicator go off staedy of that wasn't hooked up..(or IF it is working it would tell you that you got air in the rad or your coolant is low!)

On the radiator or the t-stat housing (housing single wire is connected)? I can't run the car with the cap(s) off, coolant would go everywhere if I tried that.

did you put the oil control springs in with regards to the front or rear face of each rotor ?
if certain you took note of that and got it right,, then disregard , sometimes smoky is residual in exhaust from the rebuild vas or previous engine ( or turbo ) and may take a drive to blow out

Yes sir I did. The blue and white painted sides. I will also add that there is not a cat on my exhaust either and that yes it caked with crap inside, but I think that it would still smoke like it does if it were clean with a cat installed. Still smells really rich.
