Meziere water pump (electric i think??)

In the new Summit Sport compact magazine, they have this product caled a Meziere water pump, which advertizes to be for "Mazda Rotary" and has an optional "Mzda Rotary Water Pump Adapter Block".

Here is the full ad:

Meziere Water Pump Kits
By swapping out your OEM water pump for a Meziere pump, you'll free the engine from parasitic horsepower loss while drastically improving high rpm cooling. Made from 6061 billet aluminum, the pumps are suitable for hard-core racing or everday street use and come with necessary mounting hardware and conversion kit.

MEZ-WP116S -------Mazda Rotary-------$249.95
MEZ-WP116SHD*--Mazda Rotary (heavy duty racing use) $265.95

Mazda Rotary Water Pump Adapter Block
This adapter block allows you to mount the mazda rotary water pump directly to the engine. It includes two 3/4" NPT inlets and one 1" NPT outlet. Fittings sold seperately.
MEZ-WP90-------$89.95

So, anyone ever heard of this before??

Meziere's been around for awhile. They're well known in the high HP Rod, Custom, and muscle car circles. Seen 'em in the catalogs and in person. Nice Billet anodized Aluminum. It'd be cool to hook one up to the fan relay circuit or a timer, to cool the engine a few minutes after you had already turned the engine off.

If my H2O pump ever goes out, I'd buy an electric. Also, I _wouldn't_ put it on the block. I'm sure Meziere engineered it to take all the heat you can dish out and then some, and after all it is pumping hot H2O, but why not mount it on the frame or chassis and keep all that extra engine block heat away from it anyway???
