Machine Renesis rotors for lower compression
I was sitting on the couch today, and I thought to myself hmmmm. I wonder if you could lower the compression on the Renesis rotors like Extreme rotaries lowers the compression of the traditional 13BTT, RE and REW rotors. And if you could wouldn't that give you similar boost capabilities to the turbo rotaries??? Just a thought but one I figured I'd take to the forum for an answer.... Because I may try it if I get good feedback.

No you can not. The Renesis rotors are lighter and have thinner rotor face walls (among other changes). Check out RX8Club.com, there are a lot of discussions on this topic over there.

nope you cannot do that as the oil seals will not survive due to and the extra scraper seal on the renny rotor to keep the heat from the side port exhaust off the oil scraper seals and o rings. The renny just isn't the best motor to boost.
Here is a picture of one I built so you can see.
The REW is a better boosted platform.
