Just got this for a rebuild project for my 84. Is it a 6 or 4 port and what year do you think? I’m thinking earlier 85-87

Definitely not a GSL-SE engine. It has the boss for EGR so it is an '86-88 engine. It also has at least one FC engine mount. Circumstantially, it also has an '86-88 front cover and MOP.

it having a distributor is why i believed it to be SE. but i did miss noticing the engine mounts. so i concur with it being FC.

1. vacuum leak?

did you block the injector holes? if so, with what?

what about the intake itself? is everything sealed well at the carb and at the engine?

2. maybe the carb need work. if it's been sitting for 30 years, it may need to be cleaned at the very least.
