First, I'm not sure if I'm in the right section, but I think this fits best.

Anyways, I'm looking at trying to find a Renesis from a wrecked RX-8 in a junkyard. I was wondering if anyone could make any guesses as to how much they might try to charge me. While I'd take the motor only, I'm sorta looking for the whole package, including transmission if possible. By whole package, I mean things including the intake manifold if they have it (I could do without the exhaust manifold, as it's probably going to be replaced).

Ideas?

 

Saw a Renesis motor on my local craigslist for $2000 with 22k miles on it. Not sure if the intake and exhaust manifolds came with it.

 

Yea, that's what I was sorta worried about...I have one here listed at $2500, but here's the description next to it (searched using car-part.com):

36K CK LESS IMA/EMA 500CORE

Does that sound like he only wants $500 for the core? Some descriptions have "BURN" somewhere in the description, which makes me assume they're listing the whole car and that it was in a fire or something (car-part doesn't really have listings for complete cars, so that's why I think they list the entire car under the "engine" section).
