EGT Gauge Choices

I am in the market for an EGT gauge. I was going to buy a wideband but I think for now i will get an EGT gauge and eventually buy a wideband A/F ratio meter.

I was looking around and I think that a DIGITAL gauge that will hold the MAX values in memory would be ideal. I came accross one for $169 and it includes the probe! But I don't want it to be a POS. Anyone have any experiences with 'Family Software' EGT gauge?

Another benefit I see is that it runs on it's own power (a 9-volt battery). Less wires to run in my car the better.

Another nice gauge, but for $100 more is the Percy EGT. http://www.percyshp.com/digextemin.html

Paul Yaw likes the Microflight Dual EGT 2 1/4", and the Westach 100-1900F gauge and sender from Aircraft Spruce. The catalog is free.

I have a SPA EGT gauge for my FC (specifically, the Boost/EGT Dual Gauge). It looks very well made, but it the EGT gauge only goes to 1750F, so there isn't much room to play with on a lean rotary engine. I have to get the car running before I can try it out.
