Ecu and Exhaust Tips

Hey guys, first off how's every one doing? Ok well the harsh winter is almost over here in Ohio and I was looking to find full Ecu (not a piggy-back module) and a nice and loud Cat-back exhaust for my 90 tII. I'd like to keep my dual Exhaust if possible. So far I've looked into the borla xr-1 series but can't find a good account of the harmonics of it. All the Ecu's I've looked into turn out just to be piggy backs, I'd rather just buy one full set and have it handle any and all modifications in the future. So if any of you could help me out and suggest a few or even names to avoid, that be greatly appreciated.

Here's a start,

but you need to decide what are your long-term goals and perform some independent reading here.

As far as exhausts,

the decision is yours and i urge you to do your homework on this, but i can't help but praise the new Haltech Platinum Sports (1000 and 2000). i've been reading up on them recently and i must say, i find them to be very impressive. can you tell i'm pretty much sold on them when my time comes? in all fairness though, there are many good units out there and you should probably consult with whomever is going to be working with you when tuning the car. as i said, do your homework.

for your exhaust question, i happen to like XR1s, but you should really consider what it is you're hoping to achieve. just volume? what about longevity? what about actual performance? again, homework is necessary. this isn't the sort of decision you should be taking random advice on. there's too much conjecture involved. that said, i think you might have more choices if you look at MagnaFlow mufflers, because i get the feeling you're looking for parts for a custom system and not an off-the-shelf aftermarket system.

ECU- Apexi Power FC, plug and play with great tunabilty and tons of support from rotary tuners. It keeps the OMP if you want and does not require a complete rewire of the car. http://banzai-racing.com/store/S5_PFC_adapter.html

Loud exhaust- Apexi N1 dual http://banzai-racing.com/store/86-91...i_exhaust.html

Here is a pic installed on a customer's car
