Deleting mechanical OMP

Heard that OMP can sometimes fail and cause engine failure. If that is the case can i delete the OMP and run PREMIX instead???
BUt how dependable is PREMIX???..i dont mind the hassle of mixing one in my gas tank before gassing. My car will not be shared with anyone else but me so im not worried about anyone forgetting to put 2CYCLE oil in the gas tank.

So, how do i delete the OMP???..do i remove it and block it off???..How about the OIL INJECTORS???..

remove the OMP, make an aluminum block off plate, remove oil injector valves from manifold and rotor housing, cap and plug the vacuum lines to the valves, and run a good synthetic premix at 100 to 1. Injector valves can be replaced with a bolt and copper crush washer(make sure bolt is only 10mm or less in length). it will be necessary to remove the upper and maybe the lower intake manifold to do this job correctly. disconnecting the linkage to the OMP would do the same, but could leave a potential leak if one on the lines or valves failed.

thanx man!..I might do it since the motor is not assembled yet.
BTW i saw your race car at one of the magazines!..you guys are really becomiing popular now!!..How is DAVID?!?!..He sold me your old Kaminari front from your race car!..

Im planning on going HALTECH!..should i go for it?!?!..or stick with the FCON. I might pick up a TO4B turbo and HKS manifold over the weekend. Iknow HKS will not take care of fuel with my new decided setup.

Tim!..where in N. Hollywood are you at?..Are you far from Davids house??..I want to see how the HALTECH is hooked up!..

The Haltech was the first part I bought for my race car. Even before I bought the tubing for the rollcage. I think it is the single best modification you can do to a race car. there is no more worry about changes done to the engine. if you change some thing you can make a few changes to the map during testing and you are ready to go.
We are always trying to gain more exposure for our race team and sponsors, I wish the picture would have had a caption mentioning the race team. At least the car was clearly recognizable in the picture and alot of people noticed.
Yes, I live very close to David in North Hollywood. I am about 3 mile from his house near Sherman Way and Laurel Canyon. If you want to check out the cars come by Willow Springs this weekend and see how they both run. We will be racing this weekend, should be a fun weekend.

ohh man i wish i could come!..I have to drive to frisco to pick up a turbo for my 87TII. If you have the time and the car in your home garage would you mind if i drop by and see how the HALTECH is hooked up to your RACE CAR?..I also want to bring my friend with a 944T that's been wanting to get his butt and his car to the track. Maybe you can convince him to start doing it since he always whine about wanting to road race.

ohhh man that is such a bad news..were you the one driving when it crashed???...Can you give me your contact #??..i want to see how you set your car up for racing.
This sunday we went to HOLLYWOOD PARK to race autocross. AETURBO2 raced his car and my friend's 944T also raced but had a wheel bearing problem. I think i will be autocrossing my car instead of drag racing. Autocross seems to be more enjoyable!..

sorry, that is my home number and I have been thrashing on the car all week after work. It is not repairable so I have been chopping the thing to pieces to remove the rollcage. leave a number and time for me to call you back. I am usually home by 4pm. or send me an email with the questions you have tim@wanaboo.com.

Do you have a spare RX7 to build or you have to buy another one and build it for race. I will try calling you again. Hope you get another RX7!..BTW did david sell the white PORSCHE 944 parked infront of his house?..He told me that he will not be racing that car anymore.

I have another turbo II already lined up and I just got back from Atascadero, where I dropped off the rollcage from the crashed car. One of the car builder happend to have a car and was willing to install the old cage cheep. so I had to take the cage to them. should be ready next week then the fun starts for me rebuilding the suspension and engine drivetrain parts. the white 944 turbo is a friend of ours who moved to the east coast (new Jersey). It was kind of left there until he could have it shipped back east. it has been gone for a few months now. he would sell it but it is a 40 to 50K car though. give me a call tonight any time but I won't be around sunday.

sure anybody want a chopped up shell of a turbo II no motor, interior, suspension, roof, doors, fenders. I will give it to you if you want it. it will take about a month of hard work to swap all the race parts over to the new car. new car was just a stock turbo II so alot of work is needed to get it to where the other car was.
