Auto Exhaust Flame Thrower by The Jolly Roger
For this one, all you need is a car, a sparkplug, ignition wire and a
switch. Install the spark plug into the last four or five inches of
the tailpipeby drilling a hole that the plug can screw into easily.
Attach the wire (this is regular insulated wire) to one side of the
switch and to the spark plug. The other side of the switch is attached
to the positive terminal on the battery. With the car running, simply
hit the switch and watch the flames fly!!! Again be careful that no
one is behind you! I have seen some of these flames go 20 feet!!!

hook up a GM HEI distributor in your car.
it has the convenient coil in cap, so less wires. just run a heater blower fan, hook the out put of the heater fan to the drive shaft of the dristributor. hook up the power and ground wires on the coil, and you can run as many as 4 wires per plug if you have 2 tail pipes.
i had 2 GM points coils, spark plug wires, and a switch to turn the coils on and off. just ran power from the batterey to the switch, splite to the 2 points coils, and then chassis grounded the other primary side of the coil. then when you flip the switch on, it charges the coil, when you turn it off, it sparks. i went to Walmart, and got the spark plugs that had the MOST threads so theyd stick into the pipe as far as possible, and tack welded them in.
this was on my 79 trans am. i had a kill switch for my ignition coil. so what id do is rev up my engine, hit the ignition kill switch, floor the throttle (or pump it) then flip the coil power switch on and off as fast as i could. after about 4 or 5 flips, it would sound like a HUGE oxy-acetelyne or Propane torch lighting up, and the flame burning would sound like a huge torch. so "PFFFFFFFFF, hhhhhhhhh, POW!", the engine rpms would fall off, the flame would get smaller, and then recede into the pipes and Backfire like a gunshot, but not always. my sister watched it and said it was blue, like a jet flame, about 2 or 3 feet. 2 or 3 foot flames arent bad if youre shifting, but sustained for 30 seconds while coasting down the freeway is Indescribable. no one would tailgates after seeing that.
have fun.
