Question Any way to mount in fwd -12b/13b/MSB???

I have a 1967 Austin 1100 4dr that I bought originally to put a badass motor in - ie:wankel. Problem is it is a few inches wider than a mini and fwd. I started my project and during teardown I bought a RX-8 and have spent my time with that for the past couple months. Now back to the old car. I have contacted Kennedy Engineering for some well needed info and product advice but I was wondering if anyone here had any additionnal information to help me out.
I would really like for it to remain a fwd vehicle. I have the engine bay totally empty, front subframe out. Now I'm hoping for some info (hope this can be done) or I'm just going to put in a or 1.6l prince or v-tec = last result.
The car:

proof that it has been done.

I have also posted this at http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.ph...61#post3534461

Thanks very much for any help.

Really doesnt seem like it would be too difficult to make that car RWD why not just do that? Unless you want to maintain a stock look, then a FWD rotary would be pretty damn cool. Gluck with the project

thanks! If it won't fit sideways I might have to go rwd. It actually has a big trunk space to work, I would like to keep it fwd.

Sourced a triumph spitfire frame and mounting a 13b-msp -----rwd. Planning on using a datsun rear but not totally sure yet. Also doing a body drop.
