2 cycle oil in an RX?
A friend of a friend was saying that he heard you are suppossed to put 2 cycle oil mixed in your gas in a rotory engine. The way he explained it it made some sense. He said it lubes your internal seals and burns clean. I totally dissagreed, but I'am just wondering if i was being a dumb newbie.

Stock, it is setup to inject a certain amount of oil into the combustion chamber to lube the apex seals. If you go with a haltech ecu, it will disable the omp (oil metering pump) and you will be forced to put in 2 cycle oil in your gas. 100:1 ratio to 150:1 ratio is suggested.

I'm running 2 stroke and disabled the oil metering. The '87and 88 are mechanical oil metering and thus easier to disable. I've been running it since my last rebuild. It runs smoother than dyno oil injected. I tore down the engine after a few thousand miles and you would not believe the carbon build up on the rotors after a few thousand miles. That's when I switched to 2 stroke. A good mix would be about 100:1 which is about 1 ounce per gallon. I'll see what it looks like when I tear it down since I blew an O ring.
