I am actually at the same point you are at now.

Hoping to take a drive down to RC Engineering on Wednesday to see if they can help with the same question you are asking. If I make any progress I'll let you know.

I was planning on running all the stock rails/injectors, then I found out I had to machine the injectors and said the hell with it. So I ended up purchasing the KGParts Primary/Secondary fuel rails instead of doing the machining nonsense. Trying to keep it simple.

What fuel do you plan on running? How much power you looking to make?

Good Luck with your project.

That does not sound good to me. Can you tell me what you have heard about the leaking feature? I spoke to Keith from KGParts and he told me I had to use the correct O-Rings or I should say oversized for the primary rail. As for the Secondary rail it is all standard Bosch stuff.

Note: If your ordering the kit don't forget the oversized o-rings if your using 1600cc injectors, and the Injector spacers. It was like 30 or 40 bucks more.

Thanks for the information.

I stacked two Ford injector O-rings on top of my modified 1680cc injectors. They were modified (aka, plastic was cut off) to make them fit into FC rails by the previous owner. At least I think that was the purpose of cutting them. Anyways, I can get you the part number if you want, but if you just go to an auto parts store and look for some injector O rings, you should be able to stack 2 of them so they fit in the KG rail.

This doesn't show the O rings that are on there now, but you can sort of get the idea:

If your injectors are unmodified, maybe that's what the KG spacers are for? Anyways, thought I would chime in since I saw a thread about 13b-REs haha. Hope it helps!

Sorry I forgot to specify that the oversized o-rings are required if your using the 1600 cc Bosch Injectors in the primary rail only not the secondary.

What Management System you guys running?

Why wouldn't anyone (other than Albert) have contacted me to ask? I will be the first to admit that the site is incomplete and we have nowhere near everything we offer listed BUT......We do have a "contact us" link on our site, a Forum to post questions on, a telephone number (AND a toll free number) and fax number readily available on the site.... ?? www.kgparts.com a link to any one of those ways to contact us is directly on the home page.

To address a couple of the questions / comments...

-As Albert mentioned, I told him that using 160lb injectors in the primary, he WOULD have to change the o-ring on his primary injectors. The reason for this is because not many people run the 160lb injectors in the primary location. The primary rail, at one point in time was the same size, and it was needed to use a different o-ring on each rail that went out. The solution was to change the rail to accept the commonly used injectors o-ring size. (Commonly used injectors are not fitted with the same size o-ring as 160lb injectors.) This now leads to the issue of the end user to need to change ONLY if using 160lb injectors on the primary side. If someone were looking for primary injectors, we have them available... Also the additional parts are not "needed" but do help make the install easier. The only thing required are the $2 o-rings as previously mentioned.

-Dysfnctnl85- Although that could help with the issue when someone is trying to use a modified injector in a rail that was not designed for an "import" style injector, it is not recommended. That modified injector should have been sold to someone wanting to use the OEM rail, and the correct unmodified injectors should be used. There are plenty of people looking to buy modified injectors. sell them to them, and get the proper injector. This modified injector can lead to a leak.

-ivegonemad with the leaks... the rail is an extruded piece of aluminum with threaded holes and o-ring fittings. The rail can not leak. If the rail was ASSEMBLED wrong, then yes the system could leak due to user error. Proper installation of the rails/system into the car is the responsibility of the installer, be it your mechanic, friend, mother, baby brother, or yourself. If the person installing the system cut corners or did not tighten fittings, use proper sealant and/or pressure test the system for leaks, then yes, it could leak. Using AN fittings, they do work themselves loose over time (after assembly) and should be checked often for a proper seal. This is not any secret. Over tightening a fittings is also one of the easiest ways to destroy threads and ultimately the seal in the system.

If anyone has questions on anything, try contacting us directly to get your answer, rather than ... "someone told me that their boy's cousin..."

I definitely don't want a leak, but I haven't had a single problem with either the primary or secondary rails. I saw a good deal for 1680s and took it, not thinking of problems. If you feel this could lead to any problems though, I will gladly sell them and by proper injectors.

Thanks for the advice!

Talking Primary Injectors

Keith,

Can you please post which parts, and sizes of injectors you have available for your primary/secondary injector rail conversions? The reason why I am asking here in the forum so when someone does a search they will be able to find the answers to the original Thread that started responses people have about your products.

KGPARTS has good quality parts and good technical support for the products they sell. What more can you ask for great parts at a reasonable price.

If you have the primary injectors I need for my project I'll just buy them from you. I am considering looking at E85 on my 13B RE project so I might have to find a local place that does anodizing.

Good thread keep it going there is not enough information about 13B RE conversions on this site. I have been looking for weeks.

Thanks
Albert

We offer the rails anodized in just about any color, just FYI.

we have the injectors for primary in 72lb, 83lb and 96lb (center plate needs to be modified) and 160lb. We also have not so popular 60lb injectors.
