13BRE JC Cosmo

what does anybody know about this engine i was thinking about buying one while i am building mine... I have heard that the porting is larger, and the mounts are slightly different any info would be appreciated..

both of those pages are about 20B's not 13bre, these two motors are obviously different and can not require the same type of install being that the 20B is a 3 rotor!!!!

I am looking for a bit of help here if any one knows anything about the 13BRE JC Cosmo (1996) any what if any mods it takes to put it in an FD please let me know.....

The Cosmo 20B and Cosmo 13B use the same engine mounts and transmission hook-up points.

Cosmo secondary ports are larger than FD by approx 5mm. STandard turbos on the Cosmo are smaller than an FD and the throttle butterflies are smaller as well.

Cosmo inlet has a plenum of sorts whereas the FD inlet are separate pretty much from the moment the air goes past the throttle.

Hope this helps. I have a Cosmo engine in my 1st Gen.

AJC13B - how do you find the accel with the 13b-RE? im curious about the preformance of the engine but it seems info is limited.

he sold it fairly recently, and i'm not sure how often he checks in. maybe you could PM him ...

that looked like a burnout too me ... plus how can i tell how good acceleration is from a picture? :P
