FDNewbie GB: Rear seats group buy PLEASE!!

Gentlemen:

We've been taken for a ride!

It's been over five months since we paid FDNewbie, he does not respond to posts, he does not respond to PMs, he does not respond to email!!!!!

Ramy Nasr of FDNewbie has no intension of filling our orders, he took our money and ran to Florida, and none of us will ever see our $500.00 or the RX-7 rear seats. Collectively that's $3,000.00 of our money.

FDNewbie has taken us for a long and expensive $500.00 ride, I say enough is enough.

We keep on getting ignored!!!

This is a classic GB gone BAD!

As of yesterday my new goal in life is to put Ramy Nasr behind bars for Internet Fraud!

He will not get away with it, I promise you that much!

Man.... Obviously your a newbie when it comes to these things. His GB always takes forever, for quite a few reasons. When people sign up, they flake out of the GB. They take forever to pay the money.

Lets see, he takes 20 years to respond to GB's. Lately its gotten worse because apparently his friend bluerex? or however you spell his forum name isn't helping out ramy anymore with the GB's. So its just him.

Ramy will make excuses hes in medical school, hes busy. I"m sure there are 2 sides to this story. This thread will get deleted or locked.

I feel you pain TRUST me. Just get a refund and go else where.

 

that's weird, everytime i hear bout Ramy, they talk of him in a good way....
I know he takes a while to answer back on requests and questions, but i guess that's because he's overwhelmed, no?

Several of the GB buyers have tried and he ignores them.

Spamming the forum isn't the way to get attention europa. It would be wise of you to tone down the language in the OP. Ramy has been an upstanding member of the forum for well longer than you. It's advisable to give him some time.

 

LOL. I understand your frustration. However, just about everybody on this forum knows that ordering through Ramy takes time. It's an unwritten caveat. He will give you the best prices and will find the rarest parts, but you have to be willing to wait. If you are impatient, or feel the rarity (or lack thereof) of the parts isn't worth the wait, then it's best that you go elsewhere.

Also, I've never heard of Ramy screwing anyone over, so I'm sure he'll get you your seats or give you a refund.

ramy has not taken your money and ran. i've left money with him for over a year and the results have been to my satisfaction.
selling parts isn't his entire life..he's trying to get thru medschool and has things like exams and **** to deal with, not to mention clinic work.

he's the LAST person on the forum who would screw someone over. he'll get back to you with parts or give you your money back.

like everyone else said...ramy has to source these things singlehandedly from a country with a 12 hr time difference. delays are expected.

 

i have a set of FC seat in his possission as well
i m still waiting for him to email me an invoice so i can pay him and have it shipped over here
i ordered from him before, it does take a good while but it shuold be here soon

How long would you wait for an answer? 5 months, 12 months 2 years? before taking action?

He is not responding to me or the other 5 GB buyers, that's not good business.

Please do not prejudge based on what you see and read on this bulletin board since it is not all conclusive. Emails have not been posted, nor PMs, etc.

We've given him ample time to respond and react to this GB, to no avail.

What's next?

What would you do next if you had $500 riding on this GB for over 5 months?

Look here Mr. 181 Posts and Member since March 2008... You are only making a fool of yourself for acting in such a manner. I am a good friend of Ramy and not one to dish out details of his business or personal life online, but obviously you don't know much about the man. You are an ignorant fool.

Ramy is one of the most respected members of the forum and would never steal from anyone. I am amused that you think $3000 is a hefty sum of money. Trust me, a $3000 order is only a small drop in the bucket compared to what some individuals will pay for rare, mint condition parts.

Yes Ramy has relocated to Florida. I would very much like to see you go through medical school to become a surgeon while also attempting to run a fairly large and time consuming business such as his by yourself. It is a well known fact that Ramy takes time to fill orders but it is because he has priorities in order. School and medical training come first, and he spends every remaining hour dedicated to his business. While he may not have all the time in the world like you, I'll bet he works harder everyday than you have at any point yet in your life.

Ramy will fill your order, if you have a personal problem, you need to contact him personally. No, he may not answer in a timely manner, but it is a well known fact that with Ramy you need patience. It seems you jumped onto this forum, jumped into this group buy with no knowledge of how the process works, and are now yelling and screaming like an idiot because you didnt take the time to research the seller you were about to give your money to.

Stop crapping up the forum with your posts.

Point I'm trying to make as well as other might or might NOT agree is that hes running a "business" be it a part time business on the side, but its still a "business" Rare parts are hard to find yes, it does take time yes. But seriously does it take THAT long to come up with shipping costs on items you have that are first come first serve? Righttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt .....

He's a very respected member, understood but that gives him a right to slack on people's money? Even if its 30 bucks doesn't matter.

It's always the same excuse with Ramy, who I know is a great person and very nice guy. But seriously .. I'm in med school, I'm busy .. blah blah blah.. I don't make alot of money as you guys proclaim I do. Blah blah blah, EVERYONE is in business to make money PERIOD. You're telling me people are in business JUST to contribute to the "community"

 

Ramy's markup is minimal, the work he does is a great service to this community. I understand your frustrations but now that BlueRex has left it is a 1 man show with many group buys and orders to organize, place, pack, ship, etc. I alerted him regarding this thread, everyone please be patient.

The guy is just looking for an answer to his simple question.WHERES THE PRODUCT OR THE MONEY.Its not difficult to let someone know the situation and I dont care if his post count is 1 it should not matter.Just take care of your customers and tell them whats up so lay off the guy.He has every right to be upset if he never gets an answer back

 

This is very true. Facts are facts, the guy just wants a STRAIGHT UP ANSWER. I hate that post counts and being a member of a forum for a length of time has 90% weight here. I am a member of at least 15 forums, more active on some then others, and I myself dont have many posts here. So my word holds no weight.

 

Attention Everyone

I would like to apologize to 93RX7-europa and Ramy for my inappropriate post above, but when jail time is threatened to one of my good friends it is not something I take lightly, especially when it is the first thing I read in the morning!

I have spoken to 93RX7-europa privately and we have resolved our issues. I unfortunately do not have any control over the FDNewbie business (besides the Oil Cooler group buy) but have made Ramy aware of the situation on his forum.

Please keep the posts regarding this to a minimum until Ramy is able to answer your questions.

yeah i dont know how he manages his business but he lags like no other and communication slower than the pony express. i was part of his 99 spec group buy and i got my bumper after a year and still not received my oil cooler ducts or my $200 refund for shipping. i tried contacting him but he only seems to reply when you try to order more parts.

no offense bro since Ramy is your friend and all, but if he has other priorities maybe he should stop selling parts. Great guy or not.

First rule of business: Once you take peoples money no one really cares what's going in your personal life.

 

Granted 5 months is a good amount of time, I doubt Ramy would even think about running off with your money. I have purchased a few things from Ramy and waited a good amount of time w/o any communication from him.

Ramy is a good dude and these GBs probably are just pocket change for him.

Most of the parts Ramy offers are very hard to find and with that in mind, are priced very reasonably. Although I agree Ramy is running a business.. so if you can't wait for such parts/prices, I think that FDNewbie Imports should offer a refund. Or maybe Ramy & team could keep up a little better with the customer communication. Since Ramy is busy, maybe he could hand off the company to someone else for now.

But blasting Ramy across the forum is just going to **** him off and take away opportunity for such parts for all of us.
