GB: JDM OEM Rear Seats!

Apparently there's a LOT of interest in these seats, given the huge number of requests I've been receiving. So I figured running a GB may help meet this large need.

Given that, here's my word on price. I'm not known for the bottom line lowest price on items. Reason being:

1) Everything I sell I guarantee, 100% satisfaction, and stand behind it until I receive the final ok from the buyer, or I'll do whatever it takes to make it right. So I may ask for more, but I promise you that with me, you'll get more

2) I NEVER skimp on shipping. Packing and shipping is the most time and money consuming process of it all, because even if you buy the BEST quality parts, if they don't ARRIVE in that condition, it's all pointless... And something as fragile as the rear panels...they're VERY expensive to ship PROPERLY, since they require tons of packing and a large box to protect it (given how flimsy they are). So that's my schpeel.

The GB includes:
- The rear seats themselves
- The divider
- The rear panels
- Seatbelts (can be harder to find, so may ship after the seats & panels)

The rear carpet is subject to availability, as it's rarely included with the seats, and is quite difficult to find.

By now, you're probably asking "ok, how much is all this gonna cost?" The answer? I'm asking $900 shipped, tracked, and insured to your door. If I'm able to consolidate shipping on multiple seats and bring the price down, I'll be HAPPY to do so, and refund the difference. But given the cost of the nice set I just sourced for Rob (ulost2my7), that's about how much it's gonna run me per set.

So how's this work? I'll keep track of a list. The list will ONLY include those who have made an initial deposit of 50% of the total price ($450), and the seats will be shipped as they are found and purchased. This GB will be on a rolling basis; the earlier you pay, the higher up on the list you are, the earlier you get your seats.

If there are any questions or concerns, please feel free to post/share.

Thanks!
~Ramy

PS: Here's a pic to give an idea of what to expect...

Stonewall7, I know you wanted a red set. If ya jump in the GB, the first red set I come across is yours. They're rare, but they do pop up from time to time...

I think it's cost. Most of the sets I have seen go for between $500 and $600 and Ramy is asking $900. I'll probably still buy a set from him but I want to get the car running again first .

Actually, if you look on the forum, traditionally sets have gone for $500 - $800. And the VAST MAJORITY of ppl who bought sets in the lower end of that price bracket (the $500 - $600 you mentioned) received incomplete sets. There's a reason why I have a ton of ppl asking me to get rear panels for them So the price is off at all.

If ppl want incomplete sets, that's a totally different story. And if they want lower quality, damaged/torn/worn parts, that's fine too. But that's not the type of product I like to sell. I only deal w/ high quality parts, which is why I stand behind everything I sell 100%. So it really comes down to what ppl want vs. what they want to pay for it - which is typically the problem w/ rare JDM stuff. Everyone wants everything, but no one wants to pay anything for it My motto is simple: you gotta pay to play...it's really THAT simple.

My $0.02,
~Ramy

Really? I would think the shipping costs would offset the prices higher (especially with the fragile condition of the panels that Ramy described). Regardless, like you, I would probably still buy stuff like this through Ramy, because you know what you're getting with him, great product and service .

Kinda reminds me of the good ol' days when I was one of FDNewbie Imports' biggest customers, haha.

EDIT: Right on cue...haha.

Yea Jason, the panels ALONE are more expensive to ship than the entire rest of the rear seat set. It's b/c of how fragile it is, and the odd size...

No argument from me. If I didn't have $450 tied up in another, totally messed up, group buy Ramy would already have my order for a set of red rear seats.

Hi Remy and guys,

I'm sorely tempted to purchase a set. Can anyone give me any guidance as to difficulty in install? Is the install reversible if desired?

Sincerely,

Rob

I've never read any questions regarding the install, which suggests to me that the removal/install is straight forwarded. It should be reversible as well since people switch between the bins and rear seats often enough.

It's pretty straightforward, and yes it's reversible, although you'd need to keep your original parts to do so

Were there pictures? I'm curious how close the color is to the '93 US red interior.
