Will you have to use a vented hood with this? I have heard that using a V-mount setup with the stock hood will not cool that much better than a well-ducted stock mount IC.

It's important to keep in mind that a V-mount serves TWO functions (and very well, at that). One is to cool the intake charge (IC), and the other is to cool the water/coolant. These are two VERY different functions w/ very different purposes (the former being to make power, and the latter to cool the engine).

Having said that, there's no doubt that a vented hood (with vents in the proper area) will help evacuate engine bay heat, reduce backpressure on the V-mount, and thus help w/ overall IC performance (power). But a) the V-mount will still work just fine (but not to it's max potential) w/ an unvented hood (power), and b) venting or lack thereof will have absolutely no effect on the water temps, which will be rock bottom given the top-of-the-line radiator we will be using (which will see fresh air, given the V-mount configuration) (engine cooling).

We're waiting on a few last parts to put this together and move forward w/ the next phase of production, so until we're at that point, no updates will be available. As such, I'm locking this thread until then.

Thanks,
~Ramy

Just a quick update; the radiator was installed and test-fitted. Some minor adjustments are being made before finalizing the radiator design (as it's a custom radiator), and we've tackled a few other issues along the way as well. So far things are coming along nicely. I don't anticipate it taking much longer

Thanks!
