Just seeing if anyone else is stationed here. I'm in the Marine Corps but stationed on Kadena. I've had my eye on this white FD for sell at dream run auto on 58, anyone else look at it?

 

replyed to your PM.. like I said, get with me before you spend that much on the Dream Run car. Can probably find you one just as good for cheaper.... mabey.

 

Man, I used to live on Kadena! You're SO lucky! I graduated from high school on base, I bought my first FC from the used car lot there by Chibana, and I learned to drift out in Yomitan...wow, hadn't thought about that in a while...Hey, if you see a guy in a black TII 'vert, check and see if he's taking good care of my baby, will ya? The guy I sold it to was a Marine, but the car's probably gone through several other owners by now (it's been two years since I left island..)...

Dont know how long ago you were here.. but okinawa has changed a LOT in the 9 years Ive been here.. big crack downs on drifting by the military. Kadena has gotten pretty **** retentive on ****.. I wont even drive my FD onto Kadena anymore. got called in for shooting fireballs.. gay

I havent seen a single "Y" plated FC in years... good chance your car has been junked.

 

Yeah, they were just starting to crack down hard on drifting, but you could still get away with it if you knew where to go. I wouldn't be surprised if my old car was junked, but there's still a part of me that hopes not...

Oh, and I left Okinawa during the Summer of 2005.

 

Hey, Mike good to hear your post from the Rock! My son has just gotten there, I believe he is at Foster, but it could be Buttler too. Not sure yet. this is his first tour and he works intel. I need the hook up for 4.3 gears, I think they came in an RS a diff, can you be looking for me? I hoping my son can ship them home in his personal gear when he leaves in a couple of years.

Congrats, Ive been on island for about a year and finnaly got myself a rotary. Ive been without one for a year now and really sucks. I know we have the 7/7 meet this year but we should all get together some other time and do whatever.

 

How's everyone doing?

I just got here, Kadena, in June as well. Looking to find some car people to hook up with.

Does anyone have regular meets or anything out here? (Once twice a month things, BBQs ect)

Driving a Supra right now but selling it to get a sweet FC for sale down the road from me.

Should try to get some Oki peeps together after this Typhoon clears out. They always gotta hit on the weekend don't they.

 

That sounds cool. I don't have a car yet. I'm leaving tokyo today to head back to kadena. I was kinda pissed that i missed the typhoon. It sounds like it was wicked cool. Anyways, I'll get up with you guys when i get back.

It's good to hear from you Mike! I sometimes wish I was back over there now that I have a seven. I was last there in 1996 and didn't know I would own a nice seven in the future. Thanks for look for that diff for me.
