Hey i've been lurking on this site for awhile now and finally decided to jump in. The Kapaun VRO is so inconsistent, They didn't fail me for my aftermarket wheel, but they did get me the 1st time around for ride height and headlight angle :P I passed the 2nd time but I have a feeling they will get me for something stupid next year. I was just wondering if you had checked out that CDT shop yet or found anything else in the area? I just got here in March and don't know any shops either. I'll keep an eye out for you since i'm in the k-town area too I drive a blue 95 J-spec FD with a really big rear wing :P

great to hear that there is another FD in the area maybe we can meet up and I can check out your J-spec. Do you know anything about Phil's garage? someone refered them to me and I haven't went by to check on them. Their location is over by Ramstein.

Nah I haven't heard of Phil's garage. Maybe I'll try to check them out sometime soon. My car is pretty stock so next year i'm thinking of getting a PFC along with some other goodies so hopefully they can do a tune there, or CDT. yea mayne, if you ever hear of any car meets or poker runs or anything in the area lemme know.

Also bump for osky's7 question about his turbo issue. Sorry I don't have any helpful info on the problem, I still have the stock twins.

Hey guys what's up I'm new to the area (baumholder). I'm still waiting on my baby to get here from the states. I would like to set up meets and cruises if u guys know know a few people in the tuner scene around here. I own a 93 fd. With light mods. Also if u make any progress with finding someone who tunes fd could u give me a heads up? Hope to get my car soon so I can get out on these roads.

thats alright i consider the fd to be an elitest car anyway. less kids tryin to rice em out the better. what kind of ignition are you running cuz mine has the same issue and im about to install a crane hi6 to help burn more of the unspent gas that might be bogging me down under full throttle. hopefully i fixes my problem and maybe the same issue with yours.

Hey mayne, welcome to Germany! I'm pretty new here too, so sadly I do not know any shops yet. But I am down to go on cruises and go to meets. I know of one spot that people meet at near the coke factory near vogelweigh (sp) on weekends. Here's a pic of my car.

yeah i saw it the other day at the craft shop with temp tags. He was cleaning it up.
looks alright. I wont be heading out there tonight, next week I will be. I have my friend ben coming by tommorow after 9am. He's going to help me put in my fighters air temp sensor into my greddy elbow. Possibly help tune ..leaning it out a little. My eyes get a little watery when I walk behind my car.

Hey osky, got your PM and just noticed your thread. I have a good bit of tuning experience (street tunes). I haven't used a PFC, but the fundamentals are all the same. What wideband are you using?

I am a professional mechanic (vehicle mechanic for the AF) and I am about an hour from Ramstein. I would be more than happy to help you guys out.

Great Im going to hit you up in March when I'm able to drive her again. she has no winter tires and Im using a autometer wideband (cobalt series) I'm thinking about getting a different one.

What sensor are you using with the wideband? Is it hooked into the PFC?

March works for me. I drive my FC year round, lol.

I also do body work, that's where I started my career. I'm working on a paint supplier right now. I really need to do the paint on my ride.

Most likely I'll use PPG or Dupont, I've sprayed both for about 8 years. I just came up with an idea for the paint that I'm calling "Dead Sun"...it should look pretty trick when it's done. My last FC I painted with a three stage Lamborghini orange paint from PPG. Like I said, I started my career as a body mechanic and moved on to regular mechanics (via a career field merger). So I wouldn't say I know a little, I am a professional :-)
