R100 Restoration
Does anyone know a good workshop to restore my R100 ?
I have too many projects to do the preparation myself so I just want to take it somewhere for the bodywork & repaint.
I will do the mechanical work myself.
The car is almost rust-free.
I would prefer somewhere Belgium or Holland.

Nico? Isn't that the RO80man who collects RollsR, from Axel, or so?

Wim, there is also classic car restoration in Brugge. he seems to be doing quite some oldtimer cars. Have no reference about their work but they seem to be into the job.

Apparently LMB Racing is quite good too:

They would be the way to go to turn my R100 in a Francorchamps clone:

But they also do original resto's.
BTW: Did you know about this ?
"During the 1969 edition of the 24 Heures de Spa-Francorchamps veteran, fifty-seven year old Belgian veteran Leon Dernier, who competed under the pseudonym "Eldé" had a fatal accident at the Masta S at the wheel of a Mazda Familia R100 M10A coupé which he shared with Hughes de Fierlant, The other cars of the Mazda works team continued in the race, finishing it in fith and sixth place."

LMB do only really old cars (pre-war I believe). I have contacted them in the past for something and that's the reply they gave me. However, he knows some other people who can do good work on more modern cars.

Well.. If distance isn't an object I would also recommend Carcompany in Hannuit.
They did my previous car (new sides, inner wheel wells and the piece under the door) and the car has been getting credits for the paint job ever since.
These ae really great guys (speak Dutch:-)). They have done some serious resotrations of Mini's according the owners specs (full rebuild to a specific year) and a bunch of other oldtimer cars.
If you want to contact them you can use:
Tel: 019/63.68.28
or GSM: 0477/30.85.34
ask for Christophe.
