Well guys the time has come to do the engine swap on the Opel C Kadett. I blew the cylinder head gasket this past weekend and I am done spending money on pistons anyway.
Bridge port here we come.
If there is anyone in the area that wnts to help I would really appreciate it. Of course food and drinks on me.

Ich habe mir den FC auch schonmal angeguckt.
Mir fällt da nur so ein Kerl in Bochum ein der auch den Motor eines Bekannten nachgeguckt hat.
I looked at that FC abit ago. I can only think of one guy in Bochum who works on rotaries. At least he rebuilt or worked on a few.
There is some guy in the Netherlands aswell I think.

Well I can definitely rebuild and modify engines so add me to the list. With my conversion I am going to modify the transmission tunnel tonight. Has anyone here ever made transmission mounting points on an area away from the originals? I have plate steel so my question is... Can I weld a plate on the inside and outside of the sheetmetal and tie it into the frame rails for strength?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

Thank you that is exactly what I have been looking for. Where do you buy your computers and associated equipment from?
Also quick question... Is there any place here where I can get "JB Weld" or the european equivalent? The idiot that welded the fitting onto the fuel tank left som pinholes and I cant find him. He went on vacation.
PLEASE HELP ME!!!

HI,
I get all my kit from the uk. Let me know what you guys need, and i can either get it, or possibly put you in contact.
BTW, There will be a large group of RX7's coming over to the Ring from the UK, over easter weekend. Give us a shout if anyone wants to join us.

Well I won't show up in a "7" but will a rotary powered car do?? lol.
I found some 2 part epoxy at the German hardware store. It says that it is fuel and petroleum safe. I tested it out on some fitting threads. and filled the pot with gasoline. If it holds up I will use it on the tank. It has the same oily consistency as JB weld and it sticks to the metal surface quite well. After it set I hit it with a hammer a couple of times and it did nt chip or scratch. It felt like it had some flexibility to it. This morning I checked it again and it still had the same consistency and no leaks. measured pressure at the fitting is .5 PSI from all the fuel in the pot.

Will do. So far I have the tank filled with gasoline sitting over a bucket. It has been there since yesterday and no leaks.
Let me try it a bit longer before I post a definite.

Wassup People?
I own a 1995 FD JDM that I imported from Japan last December. I'm in the Army and currently stationed here in Grafenwoehr until 2009. I just wanted to join this group because you are the closest RX7 owners that I know I can get valuable informations from.

club meetings, endurance races (9hour LeMost will be 25th of March), drift events or just test days at track....
yeah, passport is good to have, most kids have it way sooner then drivers licence...
