What is better to go with Stand alone or Piggy back?

I have a 87 turbo 2 and im wonder what i should go with a stand alone or piggy back. Right now i have a atkins with a street port, stock turbo but planning on going bigger and running 12 psi. Is it a good idea to stay with stock turbo manifold or go aftermarket with the turbo?

standalone gives many many more features and unlimited control but is obviously much harder to tune and install.

aftermarket manifold with the turbo. the stock one is over 20 years old now, time to switch.

if you dont have alot of money piggyback, for twelve psi a safc2 should be fine. Im using that on a bnr stage 3 at 12 psi with no problems

a standalone will give you ultimate flexability, however a hybrid on a streetport should beable to be controled by a piggyback

Yeah, I have no real valuable input on this subject other than to confirm what micaheli is trying to say. Better is an objective term; what's good for Tuner A may not meet the needs of Tuner B, and what is necessary for Tuner B may be overkill for the Tuner A, if you see what I'm saying. Basically, you need to know what your needs are before you decide what you really need. Think about that for a second.
