Question question about HKS F-CON V 16-bit for fd3s

I was wondering if this is a good fuel management? Is it a standalone or a piggy back? Anyone have experience with these or have had/has one? Will this be able to hold a large streetport, 3" dp, 3" mp, 3" cb, non-seq, upgraded FP and FPR, and a greddy SMIC if tuned properly? Or can it not go that far? The reason I'm asking is because I may be able to get it for a little over $200 with correct harness and boost sensor. Everything is for the fd3s so its all correct. But I just need to know if its a good ecu to use for my mods or not.

Also, is there anything I need to buy other than just the ecu, harness, and boost sensor? Do I need any other sensors or any type of accessory to go with it? BTW this is the PFC F-CON V. It's not the black one everyone comonly see's, it's the brushed aluminum one. I believe I read somewhere, that this is the new unit and the black one is the old style. Anyways, I searched and read up some and know its piggy back now. But can't find much info on the brushed aluminum model(new style). Anyone wanna chime in?

EDIT: I also ordered the optional mixture controller for it so I can set it from 0 to 8% rich or lean in 2% increments. Is this what everyone is talking about when they say theirs is set to 2 or 0 or whatever?

You need to find an authorized HKS ProV tuner / dealer.
Even if you do, I doubt they would offer any help.
HKS is really tight on info on these ProV units, and getting an authorized tuner status is a royal pain in the ***.
I would be surprised if you find any voluntary information...

Well whats so hard about telling me if I need anything else to run this ecu? That's all I want to know, along with what needs to be done. Dyno tune? Or buy a chipset from them?

All I want to know is do I need to buy any other sensors or anything to install this ecu into my car? And can I use it as a stand alone or does it have to be piggy back. Remember it's the F-CON V (not pro)(silver case not black).

I heard that you can use it as a stand alone. No if it's set for an rx7 you dont have to buy any chip for it you just has to go to an hks proV tuner and they will do the rest.Reted is right they are tight with their information and product so if you dont get it from a proV tuner they wont really give you much help. You could install it yourself then take it to one of their shops(hks v pro tuner)and then they could tune it for you. There is a place that does this and is not listed on the hks website as one of their v pro tuners www.signalauto.com
