New replacement E6K - Can I upload the base map and drive the car to have it tuned?

Hello all,

I have a very basic question regarding the installation and driveability of a base map for my E6K. I have very little experience in the ECU department, so any help that I could receive would be much appreciated. I downloaded the HITMAN map that was the closest match to my car, the one with 1600 secondaries, T04 turbo, etc. The mods of the car can be found here: www.iusb.edu/~blshaw

I'm curious what exactly I need to do (i.e. zero the timing, etc.) After that is done, will the car be driveable, or should I trailer it to have it tuned? (Driving time = ~3hrs) Again, any input would be appreciated.

Regards,
Gavin

load map. zero timing, hook up wideband i wouldn't drive it with just a base map in it....... could inadvertently damage the engine

Thanks for the response. I will definitely trailer the car over. I have yet to look in the Haltech manual, but how exactly do I zero the timing?
